Welcome to Nave ("we," "our," or "us"). Nave is a mobile application designed to help Catholics discover parishes, Catholic businesses, schools, pilgrimages, retreats, and other faith-based resources.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

Location Information: With your explicit permission, we collect precise location (GPS coordinates) and approximate location (city/region level). Location data is used to show nearby Catholic resources and calculate distances. You can disable location access in your iOS Settings at any time.
Diagnostic Data: Crash reports, performance data, and error logs.
Sign-In Providers: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information as permitted by your privacy settings with those services.
Payment Information: Subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not have access to your payment card details.

Gabriel is an AI-powered assistant that helps you discover Catholic resources. When you submit a question to Gabriel, your query is sent to our servers and processed using third-party AI services. We use information from our database of Catholic resources to generate contextual responses. Your location may be used to provide geographically relevant suggestions.

You can delete your account at any time through the app's Settings. Upon deletion, your profile information will be removed within 30 days. Content you submitted may be anonymized or removed. Some information may be retained as required by law.

Deletion: You can delete your account through the app or by contacting us at oliver@catholicnave.com.
Location Services: You can enable or disable location services through your iOS Settings.
California Residents: If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request deletion.
European Users: If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact us to exercise these rights.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL), secure authentication through Firebase, access controls limiting employee access to user data, and regular security assessments.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Nave is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers and service providers are located. By using Nave, you consent to this transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app, updating the "Last Updated" date, and sending an in-app notification for material changes.
